Circular needle US 1 or size required to get gauge 32 sts & 45r for 4 inches
T1/56 st/6¾    T2/60 st/71/2   T3/64 st/73/4   T4/68 st/81/4   T5/72 st/83/4
The heel is made with a flap, but you don’t need to pick up any stitches. You’ll just decrease all the extra stitches away.
You’ll apply the stitch pattern on the top side, an other pattern on the back side work, and stockinette stitch on the sole.
